I see with my eyes and through my camera, but I'll be photographing with my heart and soul.

 

I selectively limit my wedding commissions each year, so I can guarantee meeting your needs and expectations while ensuring my own work ethics.  I'm committed to pouring every bit of my energy into your wedding day and long afterward, when I create specialized art and story books for you, like you've never seen before!  My goal while photographing you is that you live your moments in a natural and relaxed manner, allowing me to capture and create your memories as your day and life unfolds.

 

That I have an education and a specialized degree in photography and am an international award-winning photographer who has been published in various local and national magazines [such as Towne and Country, Bride's Magazine, the Knot, In Pittsburgh and Whirl ] are all wonderful achievements in my career, but one of the things that truly matters to me is that I get to become your photographer for ALL the important moments in your life, not just one day, as I have with so many of my past clients.

Graduating with honors from the Art Institutes International (aii) Pittsburgh with a Specialized Degree in Commercial Photography, Joanne Bartone has owned and operated Joanne Bartone Photography, a boutique wedding photography and portrait photography studio since 1995.  Joanne has in-depth experience in all aspects of business development and operations, including graphic design, branding, marketing and sales, and extensive experience in image management / production / enhancement, creative photographic technique and fine art print making. 

Having had her work showcased locally and in international publications such as Brides Magazine, Joanne has received recognition and multiple international awards for both her wedding photography and her fine art photography.  Joanne believes in paying her success forward and has educated, mentored and assisted other photographers, both locally and nationally, in establishing and furthering their own careers. 

Responsible for sole coverage of high-end celebrity events at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort  + Spas galas, Joanne's celebrity photography has included famous artists such as Tony Bennett, Harry Connick Jr., Robin Williams, George Lopez, Earth/Wind + Fire, Gloria Estefan and Maya Angelou.  Wedding clientele includes distinguished Pittsburgh notables such as the Rooney family and corporate clientele include core Pittsburgh organizations, such as the Mario Lemieux Foundation and the Heinz History Center. 

A member of the Pittsburgh chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES), the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Women In Photography International (WIPI) and the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP), Joanne proudly donates her time and talent to multiple non-profit organizations in the Pittsburgh Community.
